Friday Reads #2: Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco

Friday Reads #2: Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco

THE CANDID COVER  came up with an amazing idea of combining 2 book memes together. Helena and I think this is an amazing and super creative idea to discover new books and to share the ones we love with everyone else! The Two memes we will be featuring on Fridays will be none other than Book Beginnings, a book meme hosted by Rose City Reader where participants share the first sentence (or so) of the book, along with initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. And The Friday 56, hosted by Freda’s Voice, the rules are quite simple: Grab a book, any book, and turn to page 56 or 56% on your e-reader. Find any non-spoiler sentence(s) and post. You can also link up your […]

REVIEW: When It’s Real by Erin Watt

REVIEW: When It’s Real by Erin Watt

Surprise!!!! When It’s Real was my first read by the marvelous duo Erin Watt! I’ve seen and heard many things about this amazing duo. I was quite eager to read their previous series, The Royals. However, I was in a dire need to read a YA contemporary, romance novel and When It’s Real fit the bill.  I’m actually really glad that I did. I really enjoyed this enemy to lovers story between these two characters. Oakley Ford, a rock star hero who was born into the limelight is, in a huge mess and needs help fast, before his career becomes a distant memory. Vaughn Bennett is just your regular girl, that was forced to grow up sooner than most teenagers, after a devastating accident that left her and her siblings to […]

Review: Under Rose-Tainted Skies by Louise Gornall

I´m glad I read Under Rose-Tainted Skies as soon as it was released… When I read the synopsis of the book I felt completely curious, intrigued and drown to it. When I went to the bookstore to get my copy, I may or may not have squealed a little… really, I´m not exaggerating, I´ve had been wanting to read this book as soon as I saw it on GoodReads; The cover completely catched my attention, it´s so beautiful and I love the glossy finished of the letters, it´s impossible to not fall in love with the cover, plus did you see the cage with the little bird inside? Did you see that instead of chain sostaining it, it´s a phrase? I didn´t notice at first, […]
