This is an amazing, beautiful, well written story, it captivated me since the very first sentence (and I hope I’m not the only one to be saying this). If you haven’t read the book, you totally should. In the beginning of the book there was a lot of information, I usually love this because I like to understand everything about a story. The author managed to present it very well, it made me want to keep reading.

The world’s construction was amazing, very different from other books that I have read in my opinion. The way she described the places and characters didn’t make me feel bored at all; it helped me get a better picture in my head.

My favorite character in this story is Twylla of course, but not only because she´s the main character. Actually I like her because of how strong everyone believes she is, and how vulnerable and lost she feels inside. She abandoned her family to go to the castle with the queen, and stayed because she believed she was helping her sister; but I got so angry when I found out that everything she was doing was based in a lie.

I think her role in the book was perfect, she told us her story since the very beginning and kept telling us information about her past during the story; I actually appreciated this because I could understand the story even better.

I love romance, especially in this book, even when she was betrothed with the prince, she started to fall in love with her guard; what I liked about this fact is that they started by being friend. It was fast, but it was very noticeable how much he cared about her. Even though I loved the guard, there were some other times where, I have to admit, I preferred the prince. He also loved her so much and never stopped, that was the reason why he wanted the best for her and his people.

One thing I was so shocked about was when I knew how they arranged marriages, and how everyone hated the queen; She´s an evil in the go, she was ruthless, heartless and she didn´t care about anything but power. If the writer wanted us to dislike her, she totally did an amazing job with it.

The story has twists, mystery and romance, readers will be fascinated with this new story and it will keep them turning the pages until the very end, craving for more as soon as they finish.
It was very outstanding, and the writer got me thrilled until the very end.
