Lucy Hansson was ready for a perfect summer with her boyfriend, working at her childhood Bible camp on the lake. But when her mom’s cancer reappears, Lucy falters—in faith, in love, and in her ability to cope. When her boyfriend “pauses” their relationship and her summer job switches to a different camp—one for troubled kids—Lucy isn’t sure how much more she can handle. Attempting to accept a new normal, Lucy slowly regains footing among her vibrant, diverse coworkers, Sundays with her mom, and a crush on a fellow counselor. But when long-hidden family secrets emerge, can Lucy set aside her problems and discover what grace really means?
Hi everyone!! thank-you so much for stopping by today.
Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine which spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
Why I´m waiting
My co-blogger and I have read Emery lord’s books. We love this author’s books so very much. Ms. Emery Lord is definitely one of our favorite writers ever. We love her writing style and how she make us part of her stories. When we read her books, they are unputdownable and the stories are always very beautiful and passionate stories.
So that goes without saying that we will always be reading anything that Ms. Emery Lord writes.
When we heard about the new book “The Names They Gave Us“, we were immediately thrilled and added it to our TBR. Not that we wouldn’t read it but after reading the synopsis, we knew without a doubt that this book will be just as great, if not better than her other books. Get ready for a very emotional and powerful book.
We really can´t wait to read it <3
