As the daughter of an expert astrologer, Wilamena Carlisle knows that the truth lies within the stars. So when she discovers a rare planetary alignment, she is forced to tackle her worst astrological fear โ€“ The Fifth House of Relationships and Love. But Wil must decide whether a cosmically doomed love is worth rejecting her motherโ€™s legacy, when she falls for a sensitive guitar player hailing from the wrong side of the chart.

Debut author Darcy Woods explores love in all its complexities and how to best honor the loved ones who have passed before us, in a novel packed with both humor and heart.

MY THOUGHTS

I don’t know if my words will be enough for all of you to know how amazing and unique this book is and how much it meant to me, but I’ll try to do my best to express all my feelings.

I consider myself a hopeless romantic, I’m always looking for new love stories to read, always haunting for the next one that will keep me up all night, and keep me thinking about it well after finisihing, and that happened with Summer of Supernovas;

When I first saw the cover I loved it, I thought it was lovely and romantic, and of course that`s what made want to read the book! And after reading it, I truly think the beautiful cover represented the essence of the book.

The story is about Wil, who’s trying to find her perfect match, THE ONE, while still trying to make her mother proud. In a funny, believe me, it was very hilarious and AWESOME, turn of events, Wil meets Grant Walker, the very handsome guitarist of Wanderlust, but Wil’s confused, because while she may have feelings for him, he isn’t the one she has been looking for, in fact he could be her undoing.

So, she starts to date a certain character, that I think it will leave you all with you mouths hanging open, because it’s something totally unexpected but it left me extremely satisfied with. Something that I really enjoyed and couldn’t help but feel sorry for Wil, was how everybody could tell how much her feelings for Grant were growing, and yet she would still deny it. She was so confused, she didnยดt know if after all, she should follow her heart or the stars.

And her friends?!? Every single one of them has their own personality and talent. They are  amazing and funny, I wish I could hang out with them sometime. I also think you will want a Cinnamon roll after finishing this incredible book, I ate one right away ;D

Darcy’s way of writing captivated me since the very first page, I couldn’t put the  book down, it was a very incredible story that will melt your hearts and that maybe, after reading it, you will look more to the skyโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ without even noticing. I’m happy to say that this book is by far, the best contemporary book I’ve read in a long time and that I can’t wait to re-read it as soon as I get a chance.

To all the hopeless romantics out there, you need this book in your life.
