GOODREADS

The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that comes with her.

Lydia Green doesn’t know whether to burn down the church or sit and cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it’s with his best man is another thing all together. She narrowly escapes tying the knot and meets Vaughan only hours later.

Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessman she thought she’d marry. This former musician-turned-bartender is rough around the edges and unsettled. But she already tried Mr. Right and discovered he’s all wrong-maybe it’s time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.

After all, what’s wrong with getting dirty?

MY THOUGHTS

I was in such a reading SLUMP. I recently read A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas! Holy freaking shit people, lol. It literally took me for a wild ride of emotions. If you haven’t already, PICK UP THIS SERIES, SERIOUSLY! I was in such a desperate reading slump. I didn’t know what else to do. When a light bulb when off and I realized โ€œNew Adultโ€. So I looked for my savior in which case so happens to be a Kylie Scott novels.

“Think they can get away with anything just because they have something to swing between their things.”

Whenever I see Kylie Scottโ€™s name, I immediately jump to attention and know that Iโ€™m reading her book. No doubt about it. Why? well because she is just that awesome and can get me out of a funk every freakin time.
Case in point, here I am. Reading slump free, ready to take one the world. All thanks to the wonderful Kylie Scott and A Dive Bar series.

“I want the full Vaughan Hewson Coeur d’Alene seduction experience, please.”

Lets just say I loved Dirty. It was a fast paced, comedy romance. Kylie is great at making you forget the world around you and enjoy her characters for what they are. This novel made me laugh and swoon all at the same time. Which I really enjoyed and appreciated. There were some parts that had me question or side eye it a bit. But then I realized that this book and this author is exactly what I needed. You see this is why I love these kinds of fiction novels. Dirty is one of does books that are just for fun and help you escape reality. I mean, that is one of the reason I read. To escape freakin reality!! Who wants to be is this crazy world 24/7, really?

“The man was part vampire and I had the worst feeling I liked it. A lot.”

Vaughn and Lydia, were delectable, delightful and enjoyable! They were so great together. I was rooting for Vaughn from the moment he slid that shower curtain open. Hello!!! Cowboy!!! *haha* I mean, just stand there why don’t ya. All proud and what not. I give it to Lydia, she was in shock from the day events. I’m quite proud she didn’t reach for it to be honest lol.

“Trust me, never mock a romance book, You have no idea the amount of good they can do for you between the sheets and on the streets. If you love your girl? Buy her books.”-Mal

This whole story was a delight. From the titbits of Vaughn and Lydia to the whole crew at Dive Bar. It was awesome and to some point reality. The whole situation involving certain people at the bar was honest to god, reality. I’ve seen my share of drama and it didn’t fall far from this fiction novel. So before you start judging the events. Remember that yes, it’s fiction. But also, it could well happen. Just saying, shit happens, life happens.

โ€œYou’ve got drama too?”
A shrug. “Doesn’t everyone?”
“A side effect of breathing, I guess?โ€

If you are looking for a great, FUN, read. Pick this up and enjoy it for what it is.
Iโ€™m outta here for now, hold onto your horses. Because Iโ€™m in for a reading marathon! Woohoo!!! This hasnโ€™t happened in ages. Hopefully, reading slumps will disappear for a long while. They’re such a freaking inconveniences, ugh!

โ€œI’m going to kill you.”
“Babe, calm down,” Vaughan whispered in my ear.
“Let me go.”
“Don’t think that’s a good idea. You wanted to stay out of jail, remember?”
“I want to kill him more,” I panted. “Much, much more.โ€

Hope you enjoy this astonishing review *Wink* and hope to see you again. Donโ€™t forget to follow my social media outlets for more amusing reviews *heehee*
Hope you have a great day, and remember. Donโ€™t take life too serious. Shit happens, so enjoy it for what it is.
Happy reading xoxo
