Determined to put a stop to Hideo's grim plans, Emika and the Phoenix Riders band together, only to find a new threat lurking on the neon-lit streets of Tokyo. Someone's put a bounty on Emika's head, and her sole chance for survival lies with Zero and the Blackcoats, his ruthless crew. So on Monday, the cover of another series that I am SUPER excited about!😍😱 Wildcard by Marie Lu😱😍was revealed, YAYYYYYY!😂  (Doing the happy dance, woot-woot) I totally get the cover theme!!! Do you? If you read the first book, Warcross, you’d understand why it’s a dark theme. I’m not gonna go into details as I don’t know if you have read it yet. Unfortunately, many people didn’t like the cover, but it’s the story that counts! This series is so remarkable with such great diversity. Believe me, you don’t want to pass this series up, jump on this train ride.

The covers for this series make sense, but I am not overly excited about them. HOWEVER, I am excited about this book, because I fell in love with Emika and her crew in Warcross, and that ending!!!

There’s too many other books out there that I want to read more, so I still haven’t gotten around to reading Warcross. Also, I really like Warcross’ cover, but this one, hmm, I feel like it wouldn’t look pretty sitting next to it.

    • From booknerd to booknerd, I totally understand that!😆 But here are my two cents. This series is excellent and definitely worth reading. And completely understand on the cover, not a lot of people like it, unfortunately. Maybe check out from the library? Just don’t let a cover stop you from reading it.

LOVE your choice! I really liked Warcross (did NOT see that ending coming haha) and I can’t wait to see what happens next! 😀

Right? I wasn’t crazy about the cover but I’m dying to get my hands on this book, especially after the way the first one ended!
